Minor Tweaks to Model

These next lot of posts are going to be about putting into practice everything I learnt from books, articles, and video tutorials to create my own rig for my character as well as the animations.

Before I got started on setting up my rig, there were a few things that I had to tweak on the character I am going to use. A number of blog posts previous - I did a post about the copyright free character I found online, however, I noticed that I had to tweak a couple things before I go to animating.

Fig 1: The character unedited
This image above shows what the original picture of what the model looked like (lacking texture). There were a few things I had to change as they wouldn't be animated. The ears and the tail had to be removed as they were two examples of what was not going to be animated - if they are not going to be animated then they have no need to be on the model.

Fig 2: The tweaked character
The second image shows the character tweaked - no ears or tail. Looking back at it, I could of edited more of the character: but given the time I had left and the stuff I had to do, I just needed to get started on it as soon as possible.
